Introduction to Cosmetic Surgery and the Land of Transformations:
Cosmetic and plastic surgery has become increasingly popular for most of us. People are living longer, divorcing and living healthier lives, and most people are enjoying exciting careers, and wish to maintain their independence.
With life's priorities changing from our ancestors, plastic surgery is no longer a dirty word, or just for the rich and famous, and has become more excepted in today's society.
Most women young or old, are conforming to life's expectations and demands to beauty which is exploited on every magazine, bulletin or TV program. We must be beautiful and thin to be successful or competitive in today's society.
We once lived in awe to Hollywood's celebrities and models, wishing we could look like that, watching our men drooling over their dream idol, however many of the rich and famous probably did have plastic surgery to enhance their appearance, as they could afford it, and gradually it became accepted, and the prices became competitive.
Plastic surgery increases confidence and self esteem, makes us more competitive in a single ageing market, and is more likely to help us keep or find a partner, find love, respect, a career, and happiness, placing us in a better status in today's society. Indeed many statistics have shown that people assume, whether right or wrong that an attractive woman is more likely to be successful.
The trend of men wishing to enhance their appearance has also increased with between 15 to 35% of men, requesting procedures to increase their standards of attractiveness.
Many physicians downplay any risks. A quick review of several cosmetic surgery Internet sites reveals a scarcity of in order regarding what can go wrong during or after a procedure. Yet each and every medical or cosmetic corrective procedure has risks. Yes, the risks are few and far between, but an average of about 1% to 4% (depending on whose statistic you use) of all patients have some sort of problem or negative outcome. When you consider that over 7.4 million procedures were performed in 2000, that would mean there were at least 74,000 problems worldwide.
All About Beauty is extremely concerned about inexperienced surgeons jumping on the billion dollar bandwagon, and we only utilize the most experienced surgeons. We would suggest that prior to seeing a surgeon that potential clients considered a consultation with me, "All About Beauty" so I can discuss and inform you of suitability and options, as surgeons are business men also, and ultimately not many are credible, or will advise you that you are not a suitable candidate, they would rather take your money and offer a substandard result.
I have had multiple successful procedures as I have spent years researching the best surgeons in the industry. I am pleased with my results and I am excited to share my knowledge and experiences with you.
Unfortunately for many people Cosmetic and Plastic surgery is still a subject of taboo, with mixed controversial feelings from the general public, and people that publicize their defiance of traditional expectations are scrutinized and frowned upon, however it is important to address this topic and make it more acceptable. Some are born beautiful, and some buy beauty, some were beautiful, and wish to recapture their youth. It should be ok to make your own decision and be comfortable with it. A word of advice though, if you are comfortable with your decision, it is not a subject to discuss for support, as chances are the person you are asking will not support your decision". Some people support me and other's would criticize my public defiance of acceptance, however those of you that are wise, will advantage from my experience.
Many people that state "no I would never do it, "I will age gracefully" are people with no money, people that are happy with their appearance and life, frightened, jealous, or still young and beautiful. In the event that any of these circumstances were to change, so would they.
The Australian media at times air a story of someone having traveled oversea's, for a medical procedure, and returning with complications, and sensationalizing and exaggerating the truth, and often it tends to be contradictory and is usually incomplete and often incorrect. From the standpoint of someone who knows the inside story, or investigates the truth. I find the vast amount of misinformation that regularly appears on television, newspaper and beauty magazines are truly astounding. At times it would seem that there is almost a wilful disregard for public safety and truth. The Australian media work closely with the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons, and will misrepresent International Medical Tourism at any cost to keep you and your money within Australia.
So, bearing in mind that perhaps the last person you would consult for medical advice if you were were considering surgery would be a journalist, their limited knowledge of surgery, and fabricated stories should be regarded with equal caution.
As plastic and cosmetic surgery is becoming more popular and the demand of procedures are expanding so are your choices. I personally do not keep up to date with new procedures and fads as my aim is to ensure that my clients obtain the procedure requested at minimum costs and non invasive procedures are not always long lasting, a waste of time and money, and ultimately you will spend more money long term.
